Locke’s è un marchio di whiskey lanciato nel 2000 dalla Cooley distillery, che poco dopo la sua apertura nel 1987 ha acquisito i diritti delle etichette e dei brand legati alla Kilbeggan distillery, una delle più antiche d’Irlanda (1757).
La famiglia Locke fu una delle più influenti nella storia dell’Irish whiskey e John Locke fu l’uomo che acquisì e portò al successo internazionale la Kilbeggan distillery nell’Ottocento. Il marchio – prodotto a Cooley – celebrava l’eredità dei Locke, ma la produzione è cessata nel 2010.
Nel core range si trovavano un blended, un single pot still e alcune espressioni di single malt distillato due volte, alla maniera dello Scotch. L’8 anni, addirittura, conteneva una porzione di whiskey torbato.
