The “Advent calendar” today makes us drink Hakushu 12 years. Keep in mind that we tasted him blind and its identity was revealed to us only this morning. The risk of getting hurt is just around the corner: let’s see.
Whisky #22

It’s very aromatic, with very strong barrel influence and it’s certainly very assertive. Immediately it shows fat notes of yellow fruit (apricot) and even tropical (maracuja). A fruit pastry comes to mind (with custard and jelly on top). On the palate the alcohol is a bit more detectable, in a profile characterized by an evident contribution of wood; still very fruity. Too bad that the sensation is a little disconnected… The finish is of medium length, with a hint of pepper.
The nose is by far the best phase, it promises many things that the palate doesn’t keep… Anyway promoted, let’s be clear! 84/100
